WARM BRIE with MAPLE APPLES, WALNUTS & THYME
This sensational starter is made quickly and easily in the Air Fryer, and the warm cheese and sweet apples will make you swoon! Perfect for holiday gatherings or as a simple starter before the big Thanksgiving feast, it’s also my go-to when unexpected guests drop in.
Ingredients
8-ounce whole round Brie cheese
2 Honeycrisp apples, cored and sliced into rounds
4 tablespoons maple syrup
2 tablespoons white wine
6 sprigs fresh thyme
Toasted walnuts
Salt & freshly ground pepper
Instructions
1. Place apple slices in a small baking dish that fits in your Air Fryer basket. Pour the wine and maple syrup over the apple slices, add 4 thyme sprigs and a pinch of salt and toss to coat.
2. Cook the apples in your Air Fryer at 400ºF for 8 minutes, stir, then cook for 5 minutes more or until the apples are caramelized and tender.
3. Remove the apples from the Air Fryer and place a square of parchment paper in the Air Fryer basket. Place the whole Brie cheese on the parchment paper and air fry at 350ºF for 4 minutes, to soften the cheese.
4. To serve, place the apples on a serving platter, then place the warm Brie on top of the apples. Pour any juices from the pan over the apples. Garnish with toasted walnuts and fresh thyme leaves.
6 servings
Chef’s Tip: Use apricots during the spring months, plums during the summer, pears in fall and apples for the cold winter season~
